Driveway Excavation & Removal
We remove the old surface and excavate to the proper depth. Our excavation background means grading and drainage problems get corrected at this stage, not paved over.
Driveway Grading and Base Preparation
This is where driveways are won or lost in our climate. We grade for water runoff and build a compacted crushed gravel base, typically 6 to 8 inches, so the asphalt above it stays stable through every freeze and thaw.
Asphalt Installation and Compaction
We lay hot-mix asphalt at 2.5 to 3 inches compacted thickness and roll it to a smooth, uniform finish with clean edges and transitions.
Sealcoating pairs naturally with crack filling and line striping. We offer all three as a combined service to minimize downtime for commercial properties.
New Installation, Overlay, or Repair?
New installation or full replacement is the right call when the base has failed or you're paving a gravel or dirt driveway for the first time. It costs more upfront but it's the only fix that lasts when the foundation is the problem.
Asphalt overlay (resurfacing) adds a new 1.5 to 2 inch layer over structurally sound existing pavement. It costs roughly half of full replacement and works well when damage is cosmetic, not structural.
Repair and maintenance handles isolated potholes, cracks, and oxidation. If that's all your driveway needs, we'll say so. RDM also offers asphalt sealcoating to protect a sound surface for years.
